Description

The Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI) intends to contract for the repair/rebuild of a CPI Traveling wave tube (TWT): VTS5352B2, S/N 1109. This is a high-powered microwave amplifier tube that has a high gain and wide bandwidth at 2.8GHZ. Contractor shall be responsible for repairing/rebuilding the TWT to manufacturers specifications as follows: Power Output -- 2.0KW minimum, Gain -- approx. 33db, Input Drive Power -- 40 to 600mW, Heater Current @ 6.3VAC=3.5A max, Cathode Voltage 7.0 to 8.5KVDC, Collector Current -- 1.8A max, Grid Voltage -- -100VDC, Grid Pulse Voltage -- 150 to 275V, Pulse Width -- 20 microseconds max, Duty -- .005, Cathode Current -- 1.8A, Type N Connectors for RF Input and Output, Convection Cooled.
