Description
Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform dockside repairs including but not limited to the following base items: (1) Renew Superstructure Expansion Joint, (2) Renew Weathertight Door, (3) Clean and Inspect Diesel Fuel, JP-5 Inspect Engine Skeg Top Plate, (4) Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tanks, (5) Repair Reciculating HVAC System, (6) Modify Dryer Ventilation System, (7) Install Ventilation Intake Moisture Separators, (8) Inspect WHRS Piping and Overhaul Back and Excess Steam Valves, (9) Overhaul Hangar Drive Mechanisms and Hangar Door, (10) Renew Ellison Doors, and 11) Provide Temporary Logistics. Optional Items include but are not limited to the following: (1) Minor Coating Repairs, (2) Lube Oil Storage Tank, (3) Oily Waste Storage Tank, (4) Provide Additional Temporary Logistics, and (5) Composite Labor Rate. Vessel_s homeport is located at 4000 Coast Guard Blvd., Portsmouth, Virginia. Vessel length is 270 Feet. Vessel_s availability is for forty-nine (49) days, starting 28 May 2001. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. A non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required, in the form of a certified check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard, for requested drawings. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All Businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or about 2 February 2001. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. _ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
