Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as an (RFQ) DAHA04-01-T-8015. This acquisition is set aside for small business concerns. The SIC Code is 2099. This will be a firm fixed price contract. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: The California Army National Guard has a requirement for self-heating, self-contained dinner (1600 cases) and breakfast (200 cases) meals in a variety of menus with the following specifications: *Self-heats within 12-15 minutes *Variety of menus to contain an entr e, plate cutlery, napkin, salt & pepper, beverage, snacks and any necessary condiments *Shelf life must be up to 2 years without refrigeration *Contents must be packaged together in one container and must weigh no more than: 12-13 oz/entr e, 16-17 oz/beverage, 20-22 oz/contents (snacks) *Whole package to weigh no more than 3-4 pounds *Nutrition facts must be included on each meal *Packaged in cases of 10 *All food items in the meals must meet U.S. Dept of Agriculture (USDA) requirements for human consumption. *Actual quantity ordered may be more or less than quantity bid.
