Description

This construction project is located at the New Mexico Air National Guard, Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, NM. Includes a new facility (approximately 11,500 SF) and renovation to an existing facility (approximately 4,000 SF). The work will be phased according to the contract drawings / specification. Work under this contract will include civil earthwork, utilities, and concrete and asphalt paving. Structurally, the new facility will require concrete footings, steel frame, and slab on grade, open web steel joists and metal roof. Architecturally, the work will include selective demolition of walls and ceilings, asbestos and lead abatement. New work includes metal partitions, gypsum board walls, acoustical ceilings, aluminum and glass doors, painting, carpet, quarry and ceramic tile. Mechanical work includes selective demolition, new variable air volume system and fan coil units. New boilers, hot water reheat and air-cooled condenser. Electrical work includes but is not limited to interior and exterior selective demolition, new lighting, electrical power circuits and outlets, transformers, communication cabling systems including telecommunications, LAN, and cable TV, and fire detection systems. There are four additive bid items. This procurement is set aside as a competative 8(a) procurement. The NAICS Code is 233320 and the size standard is 17.0 million. The construction cost range is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The performance period is 450 days. The solicitation will be available after February 12, 2001. There will be a site visit on February 21, 2001 at Kirtland Air Force Base, 150th FW, Base Civil Engineer, Bldg. 1064 @ 9:00 A.M.
