Description

Inspect and repair rotors -- This contract will initially be to inspect up to eight rotors ranging in diameter from 12 inches to 130 inches and 5 to 15 feet in length. This includes both centrifugal and axial compressors. The rotor weights range from 160 pounds to 20 tons. A solicitation will be issued on PIXS in the near future. No written solicitation will be issued, and requests for written solicitations will be disregarded. The contract will be structured so that upon completion of inspection of the rotors the Government may, at its discretion, either have the rotors repaired under this contract or have the repairs done by others. The contractor will be responsible for transportation of the rotors from and to Arnold AFB, TN. The performance periods will bary depending on the size of the rotor and degree of repairs needed.
