Description

The work will consist of installation of a communication system linking four commuter rail stations, to the Intermodal Transportation Center for the Trinity Railway Express. The system consists of raceways, copper wiring, internal and external hardware for broadcasting both audio and visual passenger information. Within the Intermodal Transportation Center, the system will include selective paging and announcing functions together with support systems for large screen television displays. The Invitation fro Bid (IFB) maybe obtained at the T's main office at 1600 E. Lancaster Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76102-6720, beginning on or about February 16, 2001 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. There will be a non-refundable charge for the package of $200.00. Half size plans and specs are not available for this project. Cash, check, money order or credit card must be made payable to the Fort Worth Transportation Authority. There is a Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) subcontracting goal of 5% of the contract amount. Only those DBEs that have been certified by the North Central Texas Regional Certification Agency (NCTRCA) are considered by the FWTA.
