Description

The US Army Research Laboratory has the requirement for the inspection, cleaning, and refurbishment of electronic equipment located in a facility which was damaged by a fire in mid-January 2001. The facility predominantly contained RF generation, measurement, and control equipment for the frequency ranges of DC to 35 GHz. Some of this equipment may be recoverable if cleaned and inspected. The potentially recoverable equipment is from manufacturers such as Hewlett Packard, Tektronix, Wiltron, dB Control, Instruments For Industry (IFI), Logimetrics, MPD, PST, Narda, and Scientific Atlanta. The kinds of instruments include frequency sweep generators, signal generators, 1 kW microwave amplifiers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, couplers, adapters, attenuators, RF power meters and similar electronic devices. The fire damage is predominantly due to soot, water, and foam with a potential for other fire related contaminants. The Government wil consider all proposals recived within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis. The Government will not be responsible for any cost in preparing this proposal.
