- Description
- This is a sources sought synopsis to assist NIST in identifying Optical Disc Mastering and Replicating Companies and to determine whether there are enough companies in that line of work to warrant setting aside a Government procurement exclusively for small business participation. The purpose of this survey is to help us determine whether our requirement for Optical Disc Mastering and Replication can be set-aside for small businesses. To qualify as a small business for this requirement, a company's AVERAGE annual gross revenue for the past three years could not exceed $18 million. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 541519, which corresponds to the former Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code of 7379. If your company is an Optical Disc Mastering and/or Replicating Company, then please take a few minutes and provide an email response to JWiddup@nist.gov and answer the following questions. 1. Does your company Master and Replicate Optical Disc Media? (Y/N) (If not, do not proceed through the rest of this survey). 2. If yes to question 1, how long has your company been in this business? 3. Does your company have a GSA Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) Contract that includes the provision of Optical Disck Mastering and Replicating services to Federal agencies? (Y/N) If yes to question 2, then please provide the contract number in your email response to this survey AND send a copy of that GSA FSS Contract to: Joseph L. Widdup, NIST, 100 Bureau Drive Stop 3572, Building 301 Room B117, Gaithersburg, MD 20899-3572. 4. Does your company own or lease its own production facilities or does it contract out for these services? What is your company's average gross revenue for the last three years? Please review the following example. Company gross revenue for year 1 -- $6,500,000, year 2 -- $18,000,000 and year 3 -- $11,750,000. The average is $12,083,333.) In this example, the company qualifies as a small business for this requirement. If the average exceeded $18 million then the company would be classified as a large business for this procurement.) Please respond to this synopsis by February 9, 2001 to: JWiddup@nist.gov
