- Description
- TCS SP2 UV Confocal Microscopic System This procurement is being issued unrestricted. The NAIC code is 334516 with a size standard of 500 employees. The General Services Administration, in partnership with the Food and Drug Administration requires a complete TCS SP2 UV Confocal Microscopic System, including, (but not limited to) installation, on-site training, and 12-month warranty on parts and labor (excluding disposable items). The confocal microscope shall include a research inverted microscope stand with built-in detectors, scanning utilities and lasers, also usable for all conventional fluorescence, transmitted and reflected microscopy techniques, including differential interference contrast (DIC). The confocal shall have four (4) simultaneous fluroescence or reflected/transmitted light/DIC channels and computer controlled detectors. The following laser sources are to be delivered with the instrument: HeNe, Ar and Ar-UV, as well as an air/water cooling system. Optical performance (resolution) shall be guaranteed by the manufacturer. The system shall allow the selection of wavelengths for scanning by means of a prism monochromator. Real time x-z scanning at the same frame rate as the x-y scans. Pixel registration in XYZ between all detection channels. No alignment needed when adding or replacing dichroics. The system shall include 3D reconstruction and physiology software. On-site training shall be inclusive of both instrument operation and software. EVALUATION FACTORS: Offers will be evaluated for technical compliance with specifications and past performance. Technical acceptability is more important than past performance. Award of a firm fixed-price contract is anticipated. The solicitation will only be issued electronically on/or about February 15, 2001.
