Description

The Army TRADOC Acquisition Center at Fort Eustis VA is planning to extend contract DABT60-97-D-0001, FFP, Services with Sprint Communication Company, LP for providing Video Teletraining Equipment and Communication Services to over 110 Video Teleraining Network(TNET)sites and communication service for the Army Distant Learning Program(ADLP)Classrooms and the Army Classroom XXI Program. The extension will be for a one year base (1 Nov 01- 30 Oct 02) and a one year option. This extension is required for the transition over to the DISA communication service which should take approximately one year to transition. DISA will be providing all communication service in the future. A follow-on contract will be offered competitively for equipment service after the transition. Sprint is now providing high quality compressed video(384 kbs typical); Still frame graphics (multiplexed on video carrier and time shared with motion video); Auxiliary data(multiplexed on video carrier and timeshared with motion video); High quality, digitized audio (32kbs,multiplexed on video carrier and timeshared with motion video); KU-Band VSAT)OCONUS and CONUS Satellite links; Multipoint interactive network; Fully-Bridged separate audio; Broadcast multipoint video (dynamic selection, any site to all sites); Internet Protocol over Frame Relay; Network Control/Hub services for DSIN and commercially provided lines; and Videoteletraining Equipment.
