Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Fatigue Technology, Inc. Seattle, WA for the acquisition of eight (8) Hydraulic Powerpaks P/N FT200. Required delivery is 01 March 2001. The item is a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Non-Developmental Item (NDI) used in Intermediate and Depot level maintenance for the V-22 aircraft. The Hydraulic Powerpaks provide power to puller units of the bushing removal/installation set that performs the force mate high interface bushing installation process. The proposed acquisition is for an item for which the Government does not own specifications or drawings. The technical data and drawings for the Hydraulic Powerpaks are proprietary to Fatigue Technology. NAWCADLKE intends to procure this item under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C) (1) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
