Description

NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for (1) One each UVMFR-7UV Multifilter Rotating Shadowband Radiometer; (2) License UVMFR-7 USNY/PNL Royalty Fee; (3) YESDAS Manager 2.0 Software for MS-Windows 9X/NT; (4)PCMCIA-2 Mb Card. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from Yankee Environmental Systems, Inc. for a direct replacement for instruments, systems and components which have been deployed for about 8 months on the platform of the Chesapeake Lighthouse Station. These replacement systems and assemblies provide exact fits in terms of measurement precision, mechanical installation hole patterns, power connectors and signal connector requirements of the existing sensor array. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on February 12, 2001. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
