Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation (RFQ 14-01-018); quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-21. This solicitation is not set-aside for small business concerns. The Kootenai National Forest Supervisor's Office, 1101 US Hwy 2 West, Libby, MT 59923, desires to lease six (6) postal mailing systems for four (4) years, one each at the Forest Supervisor's Office; Eureka Ranger Station, 1299 Hwy 93 N, Eureka, MT 59917; Murphy Lake Ranger Station, Hwy 93, Fortine, MT 59918; Troy Ranger Station, 1437 N Hwy 2, Troy, MT 59935; Canoe Gulch Ranger Station, 12557 Hwy 37, Libby, MT 59923; and Cabinet Ranger Station, 2693 Hwy 200, Trout Creek, MT 59874. Items and services included with each postal mailing system include: mail machine, electronic postage by phone meter, 30 lb. scale, Softguard rate replacement for up to six (6) rate upgrades per year and software maintenance agreement, maintenance, meter rental, and meter reset charges. Delivery date is 2/28/01. The following FAR clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items, 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, and 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items. Quoters shall include a completed copy of FAR Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with their quote. Paragraphs (b)(11) through (15), (17), (20), and (23) of FAR clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition. Quotations are due on 2/9/01, by 12:00 p.m. (mountain standard time), at the Kootenai National Forest, 1101 U.S. Hwy 2 West, Libby, MT 59923.
