Description

The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) hereby provides notification to industry that upon full deployment of the DOD Mandatory SPS/PD2 Contracting System, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) will be discontinued effective February 02, 2001. In lieu of EDI, DeCA will be using a paperless posting system called SRweb. This system is anticipated to be fully functional by April 30, 2001. There will be an interruption period of approximately two months in the electronic processing of Solicitations, Amendments, Contract Awards, Contract Modifications and other contracting documents. This interruption will be in effect from February 02, 2001 until o/a April 30, 2001, until such time that SRweb is implemented. Given the absence of EDI, prospective offerors are advised to review/search the Commerce Business Daily (CBD) for upcoming DeCA requirements.
