Description

The Government proposes to acquire on an other than full and open competitive basis, contractual services, as defined in FAR 37.201(a) by the assignment of Engineering and Logistic Services, which would provide technical procedural and remanufacturing support for each LRU/SRU and sundry components utilized, for the Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensor (TADS/PNVS) System with the AH-64A Apache Helicopter. The contractor is to identify and resolve problems such as maintaining replacement sources, searching and reporting on alternative or replacement parts, and redesigning. Upon 100 percent completion of the upgrade/repair, the processes should be annotated for further use to compile a national Maintenance Work Requirement (NMWR). The period of performance for this effort will be one year from date of contract award with a one-year option, as funding becomes available. It is anticipated that Award will be made utilizing a Firm Fixed Price contract. This is a sole source requirement to Lockheed Martin Electronics and Missiles, 5600 Sand Lake Road, MP-228, Orlando, Florida 32819-8907. Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, Only One source or Only a Limited Number of Responsible Sources, is applicable to this proposed procurement. No telephone request will be accepted. Firms that can accomplish the above requirement are encouraged to identify themselves in writing to the Contracting Officer. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. See Numbered Note(s) 22.
