Description

This project consists of survey, design, furnishing, and installing materials and equipment, and labor required to remove 29 existing metal culverts and installation of 29 new fish passage structures including slab bridges, bottomless arches, round and pipe arch culverts. Work includes clearing and grubbing, excavation, backfilling, regrading streams, ripraping, weir installation, construction of outlet pool and outlet control structures, and creating natural stream structures within the culvert and stream bed on specific roads. The project locations are on Forest Development Roads (FDR) 6204, 6212, 6235, 6241, 6245, and 40000 on the Mitkof Island road system, Southeast Alaska. The construction sites range from 24.5 to 47.3 road kilometers from Petersburg, Alaska and are accessible by motor vehicle from Petersburg. Contract time is 720 calendar days. The price range for this project is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Written or facsimile requests for the solicitation should reference Solicitation No. R10-05-01-01.
