Description

This effort is for Contractor Operated Depot Level Maintenance for Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) items and associated components for MLRS Foreign Military Sales (FMS). The Repair item is described as, Nomenclature: Improved Stabilization, National Stock Number (NSN) 1055-01-240-4957 and Army Part Number (APN) 13030770. The proposed contract will have a FY 01 base year quantity of (1) one each, a base year option and out year options through FY 03. Quantity ranges for the options will be 13 each; FY 02 option, (6) six each, and FY 03, (5) five each. RFP will be issued to L-3 Communication Corporation, Space and Navigation Div., 699 Rt. 46 E, Teterboro, NJ 07608. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of solicitation, however, solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above. Foreign Firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies. This contract is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Suggest that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with this procurement, makes contact with the above listed firm. A technical data package, which defines all engineering and quality requirements, is not available.
