Description

70 -- Hardware/Software Maintenance Support Renewal. The U.S. Department of State, (DOS), Office of Acquisition Management, intends to issue a sole source renewal contract to Inrange Tech. Corp.; 100 Mount Holly By-Pass, Lumberton, N.J. 08048 for the following proprietary hardware, software and firmware: Contractor shall perform on-site maintenance (coverage period being Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. excluding weekends and holidays) for two fully-populated 1K-Port Telenex 2700 Lan/Wan Matrix Switches to include replacement of bad hardware/software/firmware, upgrade of hardware/software/ firmware to improve efficiency or correct identified deficiencies. Contractor will also provide solutions (where possible) to compatibility issues between the matrix switching system and other equipment intended for attachment to and through the matrix switching system(s). Contractor will supply on-site spare items for use in emergency situations. Response time shall be 4 hours during the coverage period, with best effort outside the coverage period, weekends and holidays. Additionally, the contractor will provide software support including upgrade to the newest compatible revision of the VC-1000 Network Management System, and hardware, software and firmware support for the Telenex Matrix Switch Controller and its peripherals. For billable items not covered under this agreement, hourly charges should be stated in proposal bid for coverage period and outside the coverage period with a minimal identified. Contractor shall provided classroom training or on site training on VC-1000 Network Management System for two users of this contract annually. The Government will be responsible for all travel and per diem for government representatives if classroom site is other than home location. The Government intends to award a contract with a base year plus four option years.
