Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to negotiate a sole source contracts under the authority of FAR 6.302, with Ace Coating Co, Inc., La Mesa, CA, For ALPHA 8 SEALER, COLOR CODE 15 and ALPHA 8 ASBESTOS-CAP, COLOR CODE 551. At present Ace Coating Co. is the only known source that meets the MISAWA Japan Bio-environmental requirements. Vendors must be able to be shipped directly to Tokoyo, Japan. Should offers be received from other than the sole source, Ace Coating Co. Inc., the Government will consider all prices during the evaluation with award made to the lowest total evaluated price to the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to date of closure will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. Authority: 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1). Justification: Supplies (or services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. This is an unrestricted requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 325510, 500 employees. This synopsis incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-22.
