14th Annual FISSEA Conference (Federal Information Systems Security Educators' Association) Gaithersburg, MD March 14, 2001 The Federal Information Systems Security Educators' Association (FISSEA) is comprised of information systems security professionals, trainers, educators, and managers who are responsible for information systems security training in federal agencies. FISSEA is composed of many agencies such as NSA, NIST, NRC, DOJ, DOE, and Treasury. Contractors of these agencies and faculty members of accredited education institutions will also be in attendance. Wednesday, March 14 is the middle day of this 3-day event. The highlight of this day will be the technology exposition. All security & training companies are encouraged to exhibit. Audience: The Federal Information Systems Security Educators' Association (FISSEA) is comprised of information systems security professionals, trainers, educators, and managers who are responsible for information systems security training in federal agencies. FISSEA is composed of many agencies such as NSA, NIST, NRC, DOJ, DOE, and Treasury. Contractors of these agencies and faculty members of accredited education institutions will also be in attendance. Wednesday, March 15 is the middle day of this 3-day event. The highlight of this day will be the technology exposition. Purpose: The purpose of the conference is to learn how federal agencies are focusing on security issues involving education, training, and awareness. This is an opportunity to network with other information security professionals. Topics Include: How to develop an IT Security Training Plan; training products, techniques, and/or resources; cyber ethics; web application security; professional certifications; training related to Presidential Decision Directives; and the new GS-334 pay scale and reclassification Sponsorship Opportunities: If you are interested in sponsoring lunch and or breaks that will take place in the exhibit area, please ask for details.
