Description

Potential Sources Sought/Design/Build: The work includes providing a new pre-engineered steel frame Engineering Building at U.S. Coast Guard Station Portsmouth Harbor, New Castle, NH. The building shall be delivered and erected complete with the following: Foundations, a concrete floor slab that can support a parked truck, A steel mezzanine approximately 10' wide, heating, electrical work, a unisex restroom (including a sewer line to a sewer main on the site), a 10' wide X 14' high service door, five windows, insulation,(2) exit doors, (2) 10' X 10' offices with partitions and doors. The building shall be approximately 30' wide X 55' long, with a minimum eave height of 17'. The roof shall be double-pitch standing seam metal, with a minimum slope of 1" per foot. Exterior walls shall be steel panels. In addition to supplying and erecting the building, the contractor shall provide a foundation design to meet existing site conditions and specified live loads, a structural design that meets local code requirements, and design required for other work specified by the Coast Guard, such as utilities and heating. The foundation shall be concrete piers anchored to ledge that occurs approximately 2 feet below grade, with a concrete slab supported on grade beams spanning between piers. Plans and elevations for the new building will be supplied by the Coast Guard. The contractor shall be a licensed erector of an established pre-engineered building manufacturer.
