Description

The Government proposes to procure the incorporation of the under-frequency protection control logic to add an in-flight, under frequency trip threshold to the AH-64D Generator Control Unit. This effort shall be accomplished in 2 separate phases. Phase I will be for the testing of the new threshold and Phase 2 will be for the retrofit of the new threshold into the AH-64D Multi-Year 1 fleet. The intended source is McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems, Mesa, Arizona, which is the Prime Manufacturer of the AH-64D Apache Longbow Helicopter. The authority to use other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. See Numbered Notes: 22.
