Description

Solicitation N00421-01-Q-0177 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This action is not set aside for small business. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a sole source basis with Gentex Corporation for the part number listed below, under the authority of FAR part 6.302-1. The contract line item numbers and descriptions are ** CLIN 0001 Quantity 65 ea P/N 94D8963-2 Helmet DH-123A/SRB and **CLIN 0002 Quantity 65 ea P/N 94A8791-1 Goggle Assembly. Award is expected to be 22 February 2001. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received by 20 February 2001. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received.
