- Experienced, qualified sources sought to provide non-personal services to operate a comprehensive managed health care system for DoD TRICARE Region 15 (Latin America and Canada). Currently, there are approximately 2,500 TRICARE Prime beneficiaries located throughout Latin America enrolled in the program. The managed care system must include a credentialed network (equivalent to U.S. standards where possible) for in-patient and out-patient health services, claims processing and payments that provide no out-of- pocket expenses for Prime beneficiaries (except out-patient pharmaceuticals and family member dental care), an effective referral/authorization process, coordination of patient movement with military transportation officials and preventative health services. All areas with U.S. military presence in Region15 are included except those with Military Treatment Facility support (currently Puerto Rico, Guantanamo Bay Cuba and Canada). The scope of health care includes medical, dental, and other health care services equivalent to DoD TRICARE program, 24/7 call/help-line (toll free), advisory assistance for eligible non-enrolled beneficiaries, case/utilization management programs and urgent/emergency care for active duty military temporarily in the area. The contractor will be expected to work in close coordination with responsible DoD officials and have the capability to respond to all treatment eventualities in a medically sound /fiscally prudent manner. Network Providers are required, at a minimum, in the following sites: Aruba (Netherlands Antilles), Asuncion (Paraguay), Bahamas (AUTEC), Belize City (Belize), Bogota (Colombia), Brasilia (Brazil), Bridgetown (Barbados), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Caracas (Venezuela), Chiguagua (Mexico), Chiriqui (Panama), English Harbour (Antigua), Goodwill Roseau (Dominica), Guatemala City (Guatemala), Guyana, Kingston (Jamaica), La Paz (Bolivia), Lima (Peru), Managua (Nicaragua), Manta (Ecuador), Mexico City (Mexico), Monterey (Mexico), Monte Video (Uruguay), Nassau (Bahamas), Panama City (Panama), Para Maribo (Suriname), Port Au' Prince (Haiti), Port of Spain (Trinidad & Tobago), Quito (Ecuador), Rio (Brazil), Sarocabo (Brazil), San Jose (Costa Rica), San Salvadore (El Salvadore), Santiago (Chile), Santiago (Panama), Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), Sao Pablo (Brazil), Soto Cano (Honduras), St. George's (Grenada), Tegucigalpa (Honduras Embassy), US Virgin Islands, Williamstad Curacao (Netherlands Antilles). As beneficiary locations change, the contractor may be required to include additional locations within the following geographic areas: Antigua, Argentina, Aruba (Netherlands Antilles), Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Dominica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, US Virgin Islands, Venezuela, Curacao (Netherlands Antilles).
