Description

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://procurement.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/EPS/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. NASA/MSFC plans to acquire "Coherent Verdi V10-110 Laser, Diode Laser Pumped, frequency doubled, ND:YV04 CW laser, >10 watt output poer, 532 NM wavelength, <5MHZ linewidth (ring cavity with Eatalon), 2.25 MM beam diameter, <0.5 MRAD beam divergence, pointing stability <5Microrad/c power stability +/-1% noise <0.4% RMS measured from 10 HZ to 1GHZ polarization: vertical >100:1 operating voltage: 90 to 250 VAC, operating current: 15.5 a max @85 vac power consumption: 1.3 KW Max., 700 W. typical closed loop water cooling, chiller self-contained water cooled base plate for laser head (chiller not included) range of operating temperature: 15 to 35C length of umbilical: 3 meters sealed cavity for permanent alignment and cleanliness http://procurement.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/EPS/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . ] Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred) no later than February 12, 2001.
