Description

Technical proposal for 40 MM M433 Cartridge X-Ray Inspection System under Step One of a Two Step Sealed Bid procedure. This acquisition is for the design, manufacture, verification and installation of a 40 MM M433 Cartridge X-Ray Examination and Inspection System at U.S. Army Defense Ammunition Center, McAlester, OK. The system shall provide for the Real-Time Radiography (RTR) inspection of the 40 MM M433 Cartridges fuze/primer and 3D Computerized Tomography (CT) analysis of the "boat-tail" end of the cartridge for specified cracks and/or voids in the M433 40 MM projectile shell. Quantity: 1 each system with option to acquire a second system. FOB: U.S. Army Defense Ammunition Center, McAlester, OK 74501-9002. Delivery of the system is 180 days after contract award. Approximate issue date for Step One is February 28, 2001 with technical proposal due 30 days from issue. All responsible sources may submit a technical proposal under Step One which shall be considered by the agency. The proposed contract listed here is unrestricted.
