Description

The South Dakota Army National Guard (SDARNG) has a requirement for contractor served, cafeteria style meals, along with some other special type of food servings. The Contractor shall provide the cafeteria style meals as all-you-can-eat quantities for all meal items except the meat entr e (portion size of meat entr e shall be stated within the solicitation). There will be field feeding and other special meal requirements during this contract. Contractor shall provide all subsistence, supplies, and labor for the commercial meals. This shall be a "turnkey" operation where the Government will provide the facility and miscellaneous food preparation equipment under accountability. Balance of equipment to be provided by the Contractor. Government facility to be utilized is the Custer Hall (Bldg T-274) at the Regional Training Institute, Ft. Meade, SD, (which is in close proximity to Sturgis, SD). Presently it is anticipated that the bid schedule will require bids for each of the following catagories: morning meal, noon meal, evening meal, sandwich/salad bar meal, boxed meal, meal supplement, and soup serving. The meals will be required during the approximate time frame of 02 Jun 27 Jul 01. The awardee shall meet all requirements of a food preparation/serving business within the State of South Dakota. No award shall be made unless the Contracting Officer makes an affirmative determination of responsibility, to include past performance, for the potential contractor. Potential contractor must complete the Central Contractor Registration process prior to award of contract. This acquisition shall be 100% small business set aside. For NAICS 7223 (formerly SIC 5812) the small business size standard is $5.0M, except Food Service Contractor that is $15.0M. The solicitation, and any amendments issued against the solicitation, shall be posted to SDARNG website http://55.47.2.247/contracting . The solicitation and additional instructions on retrieving the solicitation will be listed under BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available at this website o/a 20 Mar 01. All interested parties are strongly encouraged to participate in the site visit, tentatively scheduled for 29 Mar 01. Official date of site visit shall be within the solicitation package. Tentative IFB solicitation response date is 11 Apr 01.
