Description
This project will consist of road reconditioning and hot asphalt concrete pavement overlay on 4.393 kilometers of roadway at Devils Tower National Monument, Crook County, Wyoming. Estimated price range is $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. Major work items are, contractor testing; 1,000 meters silt fence; 500 cu meters watering for dust control; 960 cu meters subexcavation; 1,040 cu meters unclassified borrow; 33,450 sq meters road reconditioning; 490 tons roadway aggregate method 2; 6,350 tons hot asphalt concrete pavement class B; 380 tons asphalt cement grade PG 64-22; 63 tons antistrip additive type 3; 57 tons prime coat grade CSS-1; 2,775 sq meters asphalt pavement milling; 18 sq meters reinforced Portland cement pavement; 24 meters liner for 600mm pipe culvert; 450 each bollard post; 3,440 sq meters dry method mulching; 725 liter pavement markings type B. Electronic format for the bid submittal documents will not be allowed. Amendments to this solicitation will be issued in paper format to all plan holders and will be posted on the website listed in line 18 of this submittal. The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontractor at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
