Description

The United States Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Command issues a Notice of Intent for the construction of a Fuel Cell Maintenance Workshop at Aviano Air Base, Italy. The scope of work involves the following: This approximately 802 M2 gross area Fuel Cell Maintenance Workshop is a one storied building with reinforced concrete foundation, reinforced concrete load bearing exterior walls, as well as interior reinforced concrete load bearing walls. Floor construction will be reinforced concrete on igloo type concrete sub-floor with insulation and 100mm thick concrete topping slab. The mezzanine floor framing will be reinforced concrete. The roof framing will be steel with metal standing seam-roofing panels. The building comprises of offices, workshops and ancillary facilities and will be equipped with fire alarm and fire protection sprinkler systems. Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning will be provided. Site work including concrete paving for apron parking of aircraft, walkways, landscaping, connection to water, sewer. Electrical installations, telecommunication cabling, and site lighting are required. All applicants must be certified by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Telecommunications.
