Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contemplates awarding a single Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide Scientific Services for the Study of the Risk of Exposures to Radiation in the Environment. Services shall be provided to the Government through the issuance of task orders to the Contractor from time to time. The contractor's personnel must be skilled in radiation risk analysis relating to cancer, other chronic diseases caused by radiation, and adverse reproductive outcomes. The contractor must have diverse skills in risk analysis, toxicology, health physics, environmental exposure assessment, and estimation of health risks from both chemicals and radionuclides. The contractor will require public communications skills for tasks such as writing newsletters and fact sheets, creating Web pages, and preparing multimedia public presentations. All responsible sources that meet the above requirements may submit a proposal which shall be considered by CDC. The solicitation will be available on or about February 23, 2001. The date specified for receipt of offers will be approximately 30 days after the solicitation issue date. Interested parties may obtain an electronic copy of the solicitation by downloading it from www.eps.gov. A limited number of paper copies of the solicitation will be available by submitting a written request to the attention of Barry E. Smith by facsimile at (770) 488-2671 or by email at BAS4@CDC.GOV. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Requests for the RFP must specify the RFP No. 2001-N-00031. This contract requirement is set aside for small businesses. See numbered Notes 1 and 26.
