Description

The Division of Intramural Research (DIR) of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases has a requirement for on-site management and operation of AAALAC accredited Government-Owned laboratory animal facilities as well as for professional, technical and animal care support services within these facilities and in research laboratories located in the Bethesda and Rockville Maryland areas in support of research using a variety of types of biological, chemical, and readiological hazards. Care of animals will be in accordance with all current animal welfare regulations and policies. Approximately 100 personnel working in and among approximately 8 separate locations ranging from Animal Biosafety Level 1 to Animal Biosafety Level 4 will be required. This will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS Code 561210. The size standard is $20M. It is anticipated that one cost reimbursement type contract will be awarded for a base year and four (4) option years. RFP NIAID-DIR-01-56 will be available on or about March 2, 2001, with a closing date of April 2, 2001.
