- ISSUE DATE : 28 FEB. 2001 ... Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary for : (1) the removal and disposal of existing dry well pumps, piping, valves and controls; (2) the installation of new wet submersible pumps, piping valves and controls; (3) the collection and disposal of wastewater from the boiler plant; and (4) the furnishing and servicing of portable restrooms for the period the existing system is off line and until the new system is complete and ready for use. Location: Boiler Plant, US Coast Guard Academy, New London, CT. Estimated cost of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Applicable NAICS codes are : 235110 (Plumbing , Heating, and Air Conditioning) ; and, 234910 (Water, Sewer and Pipeline Construction) Solicitation packages will be available on or about 28 Feb 2001. The due date and time for receipt of quotations is 23 March 2001, 4:00 PM. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. This project is issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is unrestricted. THE FOLLOWING NOTICE IS PROVIDED AS INFORMATION FOR MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES: The Dept of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000.
