- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound has a requirement for one 23 foot Docking Tug to support port operation activities in the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS), Bremerton, WA. The resulting contract will be a Firm Fixed Price FOB Destination Contract. The requirement is for a "Turn-Key" vessel to be delivered to PSNS within 240 days after date of award. This acquisition will be solicited using FAR Part 12 Commercial Acquisition. This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. Note 1 applies. Descriptive literature shall be furnished with offer in sufficient detail to show that the proposed design of Docking Tug will meet the required specifications. Vendor submittals shall include brochures of the model being submitted, assembly sketches with critical dimensions, manufacturer data or other information to permit ready identification and evaluation of the equipment or major component being offered. Statements of compliance within the specifications shall be indicated by each paragraph number on a separate sheet of paper and submitted with offer. Any deviations shall also be identified by the specific paragraph number. Evaluation will be based upon a Best Value Analysis with past performance being moderately more important than price. It is anticipated the RFQ will be issued on or about the week of 19 February 2001 and close on or about 03 April 2001. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to "brad_e_demers@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations or quotes and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals or quotes may render your proposal or quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
