Description

The US Army TACOM-ARDEC is conducting a market survey to identify potential contractors capable of manufacturing or supplying 2-Nitropropane, CAS No. 79-46-9, purity > 96%. 2-Nitropropane is a chemical precursor used in a number of ammunition items for all branches of the US Armed Forces. A respondent should currently possess a manufacturing capability to produce this material. A respondent s available production capacity must be sufficient to provide the U.S. Army a total quantity of 2-Nitropropane between 50,000 to 75,000 pounds per year. A follow up detailed questionnaire may be provided to survey respondents and on-site visits may be performed as a result of further analysis. Interested firms who feel they are capable of manufacturing or supplying 2-Nitropropane with a purity greater than 96 % are invited to indicate their interest by providing to the U.S. Government a brief summary of their company s capabilities including a brief description of facilities, personnel, past production experience and environmental compliance as it relates to the above criteria. Also, interested firms should provide the manufacturer s name, address, point of contact with telephone number, email address, size of business (small/large) and/or country represented. This information must be submitted within 30 calendar days from the date of this publication to: U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC, Attn: AMSTA-AR-WEE-D, Mr. Carl W. The information you provide will only be utilized by the U.S. Army in developing its acquisition approach for future 2-Nitropropane requirements.
