- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The USDA Forest Service, Pacific Southwest Region, which covers the State of California is seeking sources for the lease of motor vehicles, which will be used to transport firefighters. The types of vehicles which may be leased include pick-ups, crew-cab pickups, small trucks, and 12-15 passenger vans. The pick-ups may be requested with utility boxes. The lease periods for these vehicles may run from 4 months to several years. This synopsis is for planning purposes only. Potential contractors are requested to furnish their name, address, and phone number, along with the types of vehicles they could furnish. Any other pertinent information is welcome. This information will utilized to create a bidders list, which may be utilized by National Forests, throughout the State of California. Interested sources should respond to this notice no later than February 28, 2001.
