Description

The FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to procure a = quantity of=20 two (2) 10 Year Stern Tube Seal Overhaul Kits, P/N 72113KT, on a sole = source=20 basis from John Crane-Lips Marine Propulsion Systems. The acquisition = covered=20 by this synopsis includes specialized inflatable seals, spring = assemblies,=20 sealing strips, clamp bolts, clamp rings, ring nuts and butt bolts . = The=20 proposed acquisition is being processed on an other than full and open=20 competitive basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 for performance during Fiscal = Year=20 2001. The proposed action will result in a firm fixed price purchase = order. =20 John Crane-Lips Marine Propulsion Systems is the only firm licensed to=20 manufacture the specialized 10 Year Stern Tube Seal Overhaul Kits = configured=20 for the DDG-51 class of ships.
