Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, MD intends to award a cost plus fixed fee contract modification providing an additional level of effort of 94,000 hours under contract N00421-98-C-1202 with SEMCOR, Inc. to sustain systems engineering and technical support services until solicitation N00421-01-R-0046 for the follow on contract can be competitively awarded. The additional level of effort will be expended during the current contract performance period ending in October 2001. The effort includes systems engineering support throughout the full life cycle of a Naval Aircraft weapons system, from concept development through disposal to include the following tasks: Systems Engineering, Aircraft Systems/Subsystems Integration, Avionics and Software Technology Insertion, Vehicle Technology Planning/Insertion, Survivability Engineering, Configuration Management, Reliability and Maintainability Engineering, Night Vision Devices/Night Vision Systems, Cockpit Displays Technology, Integral Lighting and Exterior Lighting, Program Performance Assessment Analysis/Planning, Allocated Baseline Identification Database, IR/IED Document Support Naval Aviation Planning Document, Reconnaissance and Surveillance System/Sensors, N-n-Cooperative Target Identification, Multi-Sensor Integration, and Engagement and Rehearsal Aids. The services shall be performed at Naval Air Warfare Center, Patuxent River, MD. This notice is for information purposes only. The continuation of effort can only be accomplished reasonably and without impairing continued support through the award of this level of effort increase. Only SEMCOR has the technical documents and key personnel necessary to continue the support services currently being performed. It is not possible for any other potential source to become familiar enough with the tasking to sustain this workload without a break in services. These are continuing tasks and are time sensitive. There are no other sources capable of providing uninterrupted support.
