Description

USDA Forest Service, Southwestern Region, intends to contract for Contractor-owned, Contractor/Government-operated Type III (Light) Exclusive Use Helicopter Services for wildland firefighting, initial attack and support missions. Contractor shall provide mechanic services, service-truck and driver for transporting personnel, fuel, and cargo for Forest Operations. Involves low level missions in mountainous terrain on hot days with internal and external loads. Helicopter may also be used for heli-rappelling. During performance period (between April 1 and July 27) helicopters will be based at the Gila NF in New Mexico. Term of contract will be base period with two option periods.
