Description

Description: See numbered notes 1, 9, and 26. NSN 1095-00-391-1056 -- Knife, Combat, with Sheath. Parts are being procured in accordance with Army (53711) drawing 5830050 and all other referenced specifications and drawings. Exceptions to drawings: All items referenced to MIL-C-13924 shall be Class 2, which has been reinstated. On drawing 6085133, cage 53711, use Emhart Fastening Systems Group, Cage 01556, part number 6035-06BR-250 in lieu of source (IN-X Fastener Corp) on drawing. Material of insert shall be brass in lieu of cited stainless steel. This is a solicitation for an Indefinite Quantity Type Contract (IQC) with an estimated yearly quantity of 12,521 each to be shipped to various stock locations within CONUS. In addition, this is an item that has been identified as crucial during time of rapid deployment, sustainment, or national engagement and that sustainment quantity of 8,146 each must be covered by the contract. Solicitation includes a based year and four priced option years. Required delivery is for up to 4,174 each to be shipped within 120 days with an additional quantity of 2,087 each every 30 days thereafter. The solicitation will be available on the web after 02/28/01 at "http://dibbs.dscccols.com/rfp". A written quote is required at the addresss in block 8 on page 1 of the solicitation by the date and time specified. EBB quotes are not acceptable. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business and all responsible, domestic, small business offeres will be considered. The small business size standard is 500 employees. Automated Best Value Systems (ABVS) applies. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision will be based upon a combination of factors as described in Section M of the solicitation.
