Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to solicit and negotiate a firm fixed price contract with AAI Corporation, York Road and Industrial Lane, Hunt Valley, MD 21030-0126, for the design, fabrication, assembly, production, and delivery of one set of prototype boresight adapters. The boresight adapters shall be compatible with the AH-1W aircraft, Advanced Boresight Equipment (ABE) Common Model 300 boresight system, and the ABE AH-1W Personality Module. AAI, Inc. is considered the only responsible source since they are the original equipment manufacturer of the ABE system, which the prototype adapters must be compatible with. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
