Description

NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the following items: 1. 2681-0 VHDL Compiler Perpetual NE Support Perpetual NE Update Support Period: 10/01/01 through 09/30/02 2. 2661-0 DC Expert Perpetual NE Support Perpetual NE Update Support Period: 10/01/01 through 09/30/02 3. 2665-0 Design Analyzer Perpetual NE Support Perpetual NE Update Support Period: 10/01/01 through 09/30/02 4. 2580-0 Test Compiler Perpetual NE Support Perpetual NE Update Support Period: 10/01/01 through 09/30/02 This procurement is being conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Synopsis, Inc., as they are the originator of this software, and the only vendor that can provide software support for the above mentioned items. The government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 4:30p.m. local time on March 7, 2001. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptance in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
