PRE-SOLICITATION Request for Quotations (RFQ)listed solicitation N68711-01-Q-0422 will be issued on or about 22 February 2001 over the Internet at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil as an Electronic Bid Solicitation (EBS). The response time required by FAR 5.101(a)(2) would begin on the date of issuance of the EBS solicitation. EBS solicitation packages maybe acquired by registration and download at the Internet EBS Web Site. All prospective offerors must register as plan holders on the EBS Web Site for this project. Plan Centers are also required to register. Plan holders lists will not be faxed and will only be available at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. The Official Plan Holders list will be maintained on and can be printed from the Internet site. All prospective bidders must register as planholders on the Internet Web site for this project. All requests for specifications must include (1) complete solicitation number and project title and (2) name, address, and phone number of company. Each company must indicate its name, address, and phone number identify whether the firm is a small, business, small disadvantaged, business, or large business and if the firm is a woman-owned business. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This is a Firm Fixed-Price Contract; Small Business Set-Aside. SURVEY ELEVATORS #1, #2, #3 AND #13 The work includes furnishing all labor, supervision, materials and equipment necessary to conduct a modernization consulting services on four elevators at the Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake, CA. The elevators are located at the airfield and mainside of the base. Performance time is 60 calendar days. The tentative issue date is on or about 22 February 2001 with quotes due by close of business (COB) on 07 March 2001 later. The NAICS code is 23595. The related small business standard is 11.5 million. The cost range is less than $25,000.00. All prospective bidders should request this specification by 07 March 2001 by Internet access at the above WEB Address. Job Site Visit is scheduled for 28 February 2001 at 0900. Please call for more information. Requests for the Quotations will not be directly provided in a paper hard copy format. This office anticipates that most of the administration of the contract will be via paperless transmissions.
