- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard intends to contract for water transportation services for passengers and cargo between U.S. Coast Guard Station Ketchikan and USCG LORAN Station Shoal Cove, Alaska with one base period of six months and four option years. Contractor shall provide all labor, insurance, equipment, and supervision for transportation services to carry up to fourteen (14) passengers and a minimum of 300 cu. ft. of cargo storage from U.S. Coast Guard Station Ketchikan to LORAN Station Shoal Cove, Alaska and return three times weekly. The schedule is for pickup Mondays and Fridays at 9:00 AM and pickup on Tuesdays at 11:00AM. Coast Guard personnel will load and unload cargo. The base period will be from 01 April 2001 to September 30, 2001 with 4 12-month option periods. If all options are exercised, the contract will end 30 September 2005. The solicitation will be issued on or around 20 January 2001 with offers due 30 days later. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The applicable NAICS codes are 483113 and 483114. SIC code is 4489 and small business size standard is $5.0 M. The following notice is for informational purposes: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's): The Department of Transportation (DOT), short-term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation-related contracts.
