Description

Furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, transportation, supervision, inspection and management required to provide salvage, removal and cleanup of trees, tree limbs and debris from parks/property located within the Pine Bluff Project Office, Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Work shall include but is not limited to tree salvage/logging, removal of downed trees, tree limbs and general cleanup; cutting and removal of damaged trees, stump grinding, trimming and pruning of broken and hanging limbs in standing trees utilizing volume reduction chipping of limbs and branches for disposal on Government property in designated disposal areas. Prospective contractors are encouraged to utilize logging and salvage techniques where possible. A site visit/pre-bid meeting will be held at the Pine Bluff Project Office, 4305 Charles w. Wooden Road, Pine Bluff, Arkansas at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2001. THE SITE VISIT IS ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL TO THE RESPONSIBLE PREPARATION OF YOUR OFFER DUE TO THE NATURE AND MAGNITUDE OF THE WORK. Contractors attending the site visit will receive their solicitation package at that meeting. The specifications will also be posted on the Little Rock District webpage, address below, on or about February 22, 2001. Any changes to the site visit, etc. would also be posted. NO SOLICITATIONS WILL BE MAILED. Faxed proposals will be accepted. Offers will be due at 2:00 p.m. Central Time, Monday, February 26, 2001. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The NAICS code is 113310 with a size standard of 500 employees. Prospective contractors should register under this solicitation number as a planholder on the Little Rock District webpage; failure to do so would prevent your notification of changes and/or amendments.
