Description

Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competitive basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source", with Target Systems of Boiling Springs, PA. The requirement is for the continuation of information technology and engineering/technical support services regarding the reduction and standardization of hull, mechanical, and electrical equipment in support NAVSEALOGCEN Mechanicsburg. Total estimated man-hours is 11,394 covering period of performance of 09 April 2001 through 15 August 2001. This action will serve as a bridge in coverage while a competitive follow on contract is processed. The competitive follow on was synopsized on 07 November 2000 under Submission No. 5061C6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed modification action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If a competitive solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation. Any responses to this synopsis should be sent to the attention of J.F. Gardner, Code 02P21B, and reference solicitation N00140-01-Q-1752.
