Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate a Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract to procure enhancements of Organizational, Intermediate and Depot level Support Equipment and procure Integrated Logistics Support for the F/A-18E/F aircraft. In support of the aircraft, this contract will procure non recurring support equipment engineering and sustaining logistics support. In addition, training systems will be updated to the F/A-18E configuration and integration of the F/A-18E/F aircraft into the Automated Maintenance Environment will be completed. The Government intends to award a contract to McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO 63166-0516 pursuant to Title 10 U.S. C. 2304(c)(1) since MDC is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the F/A-18E/F aircraft and the only known source that can meet program requirements. The period of performance is 15 months.
