Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking information on the availability of residential programs to provide comprehensive treatment to Mariel Cuban detainees with a history of sex offenses and/ or paraphilias. These detainees are in the custody of the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) and may be paroled upon completion of the treatment program. Facilities should have the capability to accommodate five to ten male detainees. The long-term goal of this program is to maximize the potential for success for Mariel Cuban detainees as they progress from a secure detention setting to independent community living. The program shall provide treatment to detainees who, due to their sexual offense history, would continue to pose a threat if released into the community without appropriate forensic intervention. Facility(ies) shall be located in the continental United States, with particular interest in the states of California and Florida. Facility design should comply with, or have the capability to comply with, applicable standard and levels of quality established by the American Correctional Association (ACA). Responses shall provide the following information: (1) Description of treatment programs available; (2) Facility location(s); (3) Number of beds available; (4) Availability date(s); (5) All facility and program accreditations; and (6) Current facility status. All interested parties planning to respond to this request should contact the Contracting Officer at (202) 307-3069, to express this intent. Interested parties may mail their responses to Federal Bureau of Prisons, Community Corrections Contracting, Attn: Catherine S.
