Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center intends to award a sole source contract to Diagnosis, Inc., Kissimmee, FL for the procurement of a 720-pin PinPoint 4570 System. This procurement is sole source because Diagnosis, Inc. is the original manufacturer of the PinPoint system and has the exclusive technical capability that will guarantee complete compatibility and 100% operability with the already existing PinPoint system. The PC/Stand Alone NetList Generator must meet the following requirements: Pentium II 333 MHz central processing unit; 256k of secondary chache; 32MB RAM; 10.0GB IDE HDD; 3 1/2", 1.44MB FDD; Hard Disk Controller (cached with 2MB); 32-bit Windows Accelerator Graphics Card; 1 Serial and Parallel Ports; External CD Drive with Sound; Serial Mouse; Keyboard; MS Windows NT; UUT Unpowered Net List generator; Automated CAD software; DIP Test Clip Set (2 sets); Accessories kit (to include: Tutorial Board, Test Probes, Foot Switch, Anti-static Mat, and Reference Manual); ORCAD Capture -- Schematic Editing Software; 1 set SMT Clips SMT 68 (8, 14, 16, 20, 24, 28 & PLCC of 20, 28,32, 44, 52, 68); and 1 set Spider Clips (24) X 2, (12) X 2, (12) X 2 + (8) X 3. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source using SAP and commercial item procedures as set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received my March 9, 2001 will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
