Description

The Air Armament Center (AAC), Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit and award a sole source firm-fixed price contract to Lucent Technologies, Inc., I-85 & Mt. Hope Church Rd, McLeansville, NC 27301, (336) 279-4964. This award will be made under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Commercial Acquisition and FAR Part 13.5 test program for certain commercial items. This is notification to interested parties. The solicitation number for this announcement is F08651-01-T-0011. This contract is for a DACS II Upgrade to an existing Communications System. The DACS II Upgrade is a vital part of the Freeman Computer Sciences Center_s data collection, recording, extraction, reduction, analysis and reporting capability required to support DT&E and OT&E at AAC. This hardware, software and installation is vital to provide communication between test mission support personnel within the Classified Control Facility and participating test mission assets anywhere on the Eglin Ranges. A complete listing of items required is available upon request. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 541512.
