Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Quotations are hereby received under Request for Quotations (RFQ) N00189-00-T-0422. All provisions and clauses incorporated in the solicitation are those in effect through FAC 97-23. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Acquisition Group intends to negotiate on a Sole Source Basis under the authority of FAR 6.302, with EDRO Corporation, 37 Commerce St., East Berlin, CT 06023 for a 100 LB washer-extractor, Type II Class 3 Style B Model Number DW1000CNSWE-23B as required by the USS Hawes. THIS REQUIREMENT IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAR SUBPART 13.5 "TEST PROGRAM FOR CERTAIN COMMERCIAL ITEMS" (CLINGER -- COHEN). North American Industry Classification System Code is 333312; the small business size standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is 100% small business set aside. Delivery shall be FOB Destination with delivery to Shore Intermediate Maintenance BLDG CEP-200 9170 Second Street Suite 100 Norfolk, VA 23511.Requisition: V32770-1054-2G54SH Delivery Date of 8 weeks after date of contract is required. Award of a Sole Source, firm fixed price contract for this footprint item is designated. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this solicitation and are incorporated by reference; FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (Mar 2000), Offerors are required to submit the following: a price proposal on letterhead or a proposal cover sheet SF 1449 signed and dated that contains the requested items with unit prices/extended unit prices, payment terms, remittance address, descriptive literature of the items being quoted, solicitation number, time specified for receipt of offers, name/address/telephone number of offeror, terms of any express warranty, Tax Identification Number, DUNS #, Cage Code, and any other documentation specified herein; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items (Jan 1999), The Government will award a firm fixed price purchase order resulting form this solicitation. The respondent whose proposal conforms to the solicitation and offers the lowest priced, technically acceptable offer shall be the recipient of the award.
